It feels like everyone I know is in some kind of winter slump. No energy, little joy. I’m still feeling the February gloomies and I can barely stomach the news. But, Spring IS coming, so here are some links for a little spring optimism.

Light Jackets
Personally, I live for light jacket season and I stretch it as far in either direction as I can.
Here’s a red twill jacket from Nettle Studios with ruffly heart pockets (up to OS++).
Here’s a cropped version (up to 4x) of that classic barn jacket. I like the buttons and the contrasting collar!
This one (up to size 40) is such a nice shade of blue with lots of useful pockets.
Swim
Is it too early to start thinking about bathing suits? For me? Never.
I’m a big fan of this style of suit (up to 6X) and I like the ribbed fabric and that it has NO RUCHING on the stomach, unlike the similar one I have from Land’s End. FWIW, I’ve also found Torrid swimwear to be some of the best fitting and longest lasting. You just have to shop around the weird stuff.
Okay, but speaking of Land’s End! I like this simple style (up to 26W) with a nice pattern. This rashguard also looks great! And I wanted to include these cute swimshorts, but I was so annoyed that the plus size ones don’t come in the lime color! But the lime color swim shorts are here for all you size 2-18 people.
Not a swimsuit, but I like these new Girlfriend Collective bodysuits (up to a 6X).
Spring Shoes
I’m not ready for sandals, but I am ready to retire my Blundstones.

These colorful Charlotte Stone sneakers are a perennial favorite (Virginia has some!) and they’re available up to a size 15!
I also keep almost ordering these. I am convinced that comfortable slip on shoes would change my life, but is this a gimmick? Does anyone have them?

I’m thinking a lot about boat shoes! These ones have been haunting me, but I might like a brown pair better? And then I like this weird oxford from J. Crew.
A Few More Things…

I LOVE the button detail on the back of this denim tank (up to XXL). This shirt looks so breezy (up to 3XL)! I think last year’s version of these striped linen shorts were my most worn shorts!
If you want to see all the links in one place, here they are!
Some things I enjoyed reading recently:
Sushmita is such a thoughtful person, and I loved this essay about the connection between diet culture and slow fashion.
I can’t wait to refer back to this post about closet cleanouts—the info is INVALUABLE.
I also bookmarked this post about building a go bag. I don’t have one, but I am thinking maybe I should!
As someone who cares a lot about how things fit, this post is fascinating!
Style Icon
on ??? The dream!Speaking of Emma, I enjoyed The God of the Woods and I haven’t read Liz Moore’s previous book Heft, but I loved this honest conversation between Liz and Emma about fatness in that book.

Oh god it’s dangerous for me to know my charlotte stone sneakers ALSO COME IN NAVY. And I want in on the Kiziks bandwagon! My sister loves hers!
Here to vouch for Kiziks!! They really are amazing!! Me and my husband both have a pair, and so does my 4yo (game changer for a kid). I use insoles in mine and now they’re my everyday sneakers.
