Lucky You! Cotton PJs, Knit Sweaters, & Utilitarian Bags.
A little bit of shopping to take the edge off
Congratulations! We made it to February!! January 2025 felt exceptionally long, despite such highlights as my 39th birthday.
The news has been almost unbearably bleak and I have been combatting it the only way I know how: Online window shopping. This is an attempt at a joke—I know you know we can’t shop our way out of this. But if you do need a teaspoon of joy or a momentary distraction, here are the things currently distracting me:
These striped PJs from Target look nice! I don’t like their knit ones (they don’t last) but these are a woven cotton blend and I like the the green. I could imagine wearing the top (short sleeve, too! up to 4X) just as a shirt!
I like the shape of these twisted leg jeans from Universal Standard (up to size 40). I’d wear them with this shirt.
I always check the material specifications when I’m shopping on Old Navy, and this 100% cotton cardigan (up to 4X) caught my eye.
I have these jeans in black. They’re great! But now I really want them in blue, too (up to 6x & custom beyond)
I’ve been daydreaming about getting a new gym bag (I currently throw everything in a Baggu) and this canvas tote caught my eye.
But speaking of Baggu, I am OBSESSED with their new Japanese produce print. I might need a set of pouches!
Earlier this week Roxy mentioned in the comments this bonnet and I haven’t been able to get it out of my head!
If you want even more links, find everything here.
And in case you missed it:
I wanted to gather more info about what I wear before committing to a no buy
The pants I wore on a road trip, plus my snack & podcast MVPs
DTMFA (it’s a shirt)
You might be surprised at what I actually bought this month!

I love receiving your newsletters on different days! What a nice surprise. I really want the Connally Goods jeans but jeans are so tricky for me so I add them to my cart and then delete. Could you tell me more about what you like about them? Or if anyone else has tried them?
I feel like for a gym bag I want a really long strap that could be used cross body in addition to handles bc I might be carrying the gym bag with another bag ( work bag etc). I love those pouches. I use a packing cube in my gym bag. I don’t always shower at gym but I like to have a change of clothes in case I decide to last minute shower and change there. I also keep a bag of skincare mini sizes.
