On Friday I had my last tattoo appointment for my big multi-session belly piece. I’m relieved that it’s over for two reasons: 1. No more pain 2. It’s pool season! It was in the 90s this weekend and I can’t wait to be able to get in the water to cool off. Until I’m a little more healed, I’m trying to stay in the shade and drink lots of iced drinks.

I’m at the hand quilting stage of a quilt project I started a while back, so I’ve been doing a lot of that while listening to this fascinating podcast. Hope you’re enjoying summer, whatever that looks like where you are!

I had the pleasure of seeing Secret Mall Apartment last week—I loved it. It’s the kind of documentary you don’t want to say too much about—but you should go see it if it’s playing anywhere near you.
Wonder Valley was kind enough to send me their Hinoki Body Oil and it’s really special. The scent is woodsy /piney and the bottle feels really luxe. It’s a nice treat to use and it would make a great gift! Also really love their Olive Oil.
I just finished Stag Dance by Torrey Peters. It was funny and thought provoking and… genius?? Hard to describe, you’ll have to read it for yourself.
I’ve had my eye on Archer Wren since they launched with colorful cotton underwear. But they just dropped a bunch of swim stuff that looks amazing! I did some fit testing for them and I was impressed enough that I placed an order. Good colors, and simple, foolproof designs. Check them out!
In Case You Missed It
I’m still on the matcha tonic thing! I in fact bought matcha and have been recreating this drink at home.
We did a closet concierge and here is everything everyone recommended
This style questionnaire exploded my brain:
If I had to identify the most common missing item from clients’ closets it’s probably shoes! Specifically, lots of people tend to have only neutral shoes (brown, black, white) that they purchased to “go with everything” but then when they put a fun outfit together the neutral shoe almost drags it down
Celebrated the one year anniversary of Big Undies, with a little reflection, 5 Things I Learned, and a fun AMA with Virginia.

This interview inspired me to start reading Dietland
I’m listening to dietland now (thanks to Libby). Somehow I missed it in 2015 — great interview
you mind sharing your matcha tonic recipe/process now that you've been working on it? I want to start making these at home too, but still haven't gone down the internet hole to figure the best way :)
