I live in a regular house. Its not big (less than 1200 square feet) and it’s pretty old (built in the 1920s). It’s definitely not going to get me featured in Domino or any other aspirational home magazine, but I’m incredibly grateful to live in the house that I do and I try not to take it for granted. It’s a comfortable place to live.
If you’ve read my last few newsletters, you’re probably picking up on a theme… I’ve been thinking so much lately about feeling comfortable and at ease. It’s not an easy time to be alive, unless maybe you’re an oligarch? But lately when I start spinning out about the state of the world, I’m trying to appreciate little things around me. At this point, I don’t think comfort or joy can be our only acts of resistance, but I do think they help.
So let me share some of the little things I’m enjoying in my house!
After the paywall…
An actually comfortable chair
The kitchen thing that I now want to give to everyone
The best thing I’ve smelled in a while
And more!
